A growing PM community, varied projects, real stakeholders
The City of London Corporation runs a wide range of projects, programmes and portfolios across a growing community of project professionals, plus significant external stakeholders. The Project Academy was selected via competitive tender to design, pilot and run a suite of bespoke training modules, aligned both to internal CoLC project procedures and to APM professional standards.
The brief held two demands that rarely sit comfortably together: external accreditation and internal alignment. The training had to feel like CoLC's own while meeting the APM's quality bar.

CoLC ended up with a programme that genuinely reflects how the Corporation runs projects and carries APM Professional Course Accreditation. Staff pick modules that match their development stage. The Corporation has a regime it can defend on quality.
External accreditation puts your programme in front of people who do this for a living. CoLC's regime passed that scrutiny.
