Building 2,000 senior project leaders for UK Government.
A ten-year delivery partnership with Cranfield University and PA Consulting on the Cabinet Office's flagship Project Leadership Programme, one of the largest project leadership programmes in the UK.

The Brief
High-calibre projects need high-calibre leaders.
The UK Government's Infrastructure and Projects Authority procured the Project Leadership Programme to develop the leaders of the country's most complex projects: from major infrastructure and IT to whole-of-government transformation.
Roughly 300 senior project professionals come through every year, drawn from more than thirty ministries, departments and arm's-length bodies. The programme runs over twelve months. We deliver it as a three-party consortium with Cranfield University and PA Consulting.
What We Deliver
360-degree assessment, executive coaching, and the elective participants rate highest.

Why It Matters
A whole cadre of project leaders, across government
The IPA describes the PLP as building the leadership capability they need to deliver major government projects in uncertain times. Departments report cost savings on live projects, and participants come back saying it has changed how they lead.
"We are delighted to work alongside the IPA and our PLP partners. Government projects are highly complex and, in these difficult times, require the highest level of project leadership."Paul Erricker, Managing Director, The Project Academy
Participants complete two assignments rooted in real work, reflect on what they have learned with their Head of Profession, and learn from each other across the cohort. The programme is structured so growth happens in the workplace, where it counts.
